M1 Abrams Tank Interior
SAIC | Maya, Substance Painter, Unreal Engine
Created major portions of a highly detailed M1 Abrams tank interior for a VR-based military training application. Developed from technical reference materials and photographic documentation, the project focused on accurately recreating crew compartments, control systems, instrumentation, and operational equipment for immersive training scenarios.
Responsibilities included modeling, UV layout, and partial texture development for the gunner station and driver compartment. Particular attention was given to control panel readability, mechanical detail, labeled interfaces, and user-facing equipment intended for close inspection in virtual reality environments.
Although the project was ultimately canceled before completion, the work demonstrates complex hard-surface modeling, technical reference interpretation, and the creation of highly detailed simulation-focused interior spaces.
